Under the Microscope: 'Micro IVF'
Date:4/28/2009

MDs Debate Effectiveness of 'Micro IVF,' also referred to as 'Mini IVF' or 'Minimal Stimulation IVF' at FertilityTies.com

LOS ANGELES, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Several esteemed reproductive endocrinologists are now weighing in at FertilityTies.com on the subject of the new "Micro IVF," also called "Mini IVF" or "Minimal Stimulation IVF." FertilityTies is the only comprehensive online community and social network providing 24-7-365 support on fertility matters, connecting members with peers as well as accredited medical professionals. The physicians who have expressed their opinions discuss the effectiveness of a procedure that was designed to be recession-savvy because it cuts down on time and medication costs required for conventional IVF.

Micro IVF can be described as taking only oral fertility medications with or without minimal use of injectable gonadotropins when going through In Vitro fertilization. The process then proceeds in similar fashion to conventional IVF with egg retrieval, fertilization, embryo culture and embryo transfer. This new protocol is said to not only cut down on costs, but to diminish risks of multiple births.

Following are the opinions expressed by Reproductive Endocrinologists at FertilityTies.com, http://www.fertilityties.com/post/show/what-is-micro-ivf-also-known-as-mini-ivf-2.
