Lawrence, MA (PRWEB) June 21, 2012

Charm Sciences, Inc. is pleased to announce that the ROSA® FAST Aflatoxin Quantitative Test Kit, a quantitative lateral flow test, has received approval from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) for the detection of aflatoxin in feed and grain*.

Charm’s ROSA® FAST Aflatoxin Quantitative Test Kit provides test results in 3 minutes. This test is GIPSA approved for over 20 commodities: Barley, Basmati Rice, Brewer’s Rice, Brown Rice, Corn, Corn Flour, Corn Germ Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, Corn Grits, Corn Meal, Corn Screenings, Corn/Soy Blend, DDG, DDGS, Hominy, Milled Rice, Millet, Oats, Popcorn, Rough Rice, Rye, Sorghum, Soybeans, Wheat, and Wheat Flour.

The Charm® ROSA® FAST Aflatoxin Quantitative Test is an immunreceptor assay utilizing ROSA (Rapid One-Step Assay) lateral flow technology. The diluted extract is applied to each test strip, incubated, and read on the ROSA-M Reader for quantitative results.

“The ROSA® FAST Aflatoxin Quantitative Test is the most reproducible test kit for quantitative aflatoxin test results,” said Dr. Mark Tess, Mycotoxin Product Manager. “This technology yields precise results in a simple and convenient lateral flow strip format.”

The Charm® ROSA FAST family of quantitative mycotoxin test kits includes:

ROSA FAST5 DON Quantitative Test Kit - GIPSA approved commodities for Barley, Corn, DDGS, Malted Barley, Milled Rice, Oats, Rough Rice, Sorghum, Wheat, Wheat Bran, Wheat Flour and Wheat Midds.
