U.S. Preventive Medicine National Policy Advisor Gov. Tommy Thompson to Propose Prevention is the Solution at UBS Global Health Services Conference
Date:2/7/2008

NEW YORK, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- In a speech to be delivered Tuesday, February 12th, 10:30 a.m., during the UBS Global Health Services Conference at the New York Grand Hyatt Hotel, U.S. Preventive Medicine National Policy Advisor, former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson, will propose that prevention is the solution for the nation's health crisis. The 18th annual conference brings together experts from throughout the health care industry to help investors navigate the ever-changing industry.

"Everyone is preaching that prevention is a good thing, but until now, no single entity has surfaced that could pull all the pieces together. U.S. Preventive Medicine has wrapped a business model around prevention, early detection and chronic condition management that is exactly the solution our country needs," reads Thompson's prepared remarks. Thompson, former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services joined U.S. Preventive Medicine as National Policy Advisor to help focus the national spotlight on prevention.

In addition to Thompson, U.S. Preventive Medicine executives, Christopher Fey, Chairman & CEO, and Frederic Goldstein, President & COO, will deliver an overview of the company's comprehensive prevention approach including the ground-breaking new defined health benefit, The Prevention Plan(TM), which the company will launch nationally later this year.

Live audio transmissions of U.S. Preventive Medicine's presentation will be accessible via the UBS Investment Bank website at http://events.streamx.us/us/event/eventdetails.aspx?id=ubs20080211 Replays may be viewed on the Website for four weeks.
