William Mathers, M.D., practices at the Casey Vision Correction Center of the Oregon Health & Science University, which was one of the first centers in Portland, Oregon to introduce laser eye surgery, Intralase, and laser incision PKs. Dr. Mathers treats patients with nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism (blurred vision), and presbyopia. Casey Vision Correction Center provides premier patient care, including "All-Laser" or "Bladeless" LASIK and use of Wavefront Based ("Optimized") LASIK and PRK. Dr. Mathers offers laser eye surgery procedures, including LASIK and PRK, as well as limbal relaxing incisions, Clear Lens Exchange and cataract lens implants procedures to provide patients a full range of options when it comes to choosing the procedure that can best help them attain better vision. New patients who have had problems with LASIK eye surgery or other vision correction procedures performed by another surgeon have come to Dr. Mathers to treat their complications. In addition, this vision correction specialist has been selected by other eye surgeons, optometrists, opticians, employees of companies that specialize in refractive surgery instrumentation or their family members to perform their LASIK or other refractive surgery procedure.
