About North County's Food Bank

From its humble beginnings as a food distribution program, North County's Food Bank, a program of the North County Community Services has become a significant force in alleviating hunger in Northern San Diego County. North County's Food Bank distributed over 1.5 million pounds of food in the 2008-2009 fiscal year, with all of the food distributed donated by local food drives and merchants. North County's Food Bank currently provides services to over 18,160 people per month by working together with 75+ non-profits, a Senior Visitor program, emergency food distributions, and eight direct community distributions.
