The Australian Government declared the formation of the Future Fellowships in 2008, which is intended to attract and retain the best and brightest mid-career researchers to Australia.  Australia anticipates enhancing its research capacity by supporting novel, internationally competitive research. Dr. Karagiannis hopes to therapeutically alter DNA structure with nanoparticles in order to increase the effectiveness of cancer therapy and improve the safety of imaging.

McCord Research is proud to continue to fund Dr. Karagiannis and the McCord Research Lab.
