Manufacturer is Pillar of Support for National Children's Program

OJAI, Calif., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Raj Chopra CEO and Chief Scientific Officer of Tishcon Corp and visionary philanthropist easily recognized the need to support the health of low income children in America. In January 2000, Raj Chopra, along with his colleagues, Tishcon's President, Vipin Patel, and Vice President, Arun Chopra, initiated a monthly donation to Nourish America. Their donation of thousands of bottles of high-quality multivitamins jump-started Nourish America's nutritional program for children, adults and seniors at risk of malnutrition, as well as victims of disasters in the United States.

Of note, now eight years later, over 891,000 bottles of Tishcon' s children's chewable multi-vitamins with minerals have been distributed to children in need in the United States.

Malnourished children, in general, have difficulty focusing in school, controlling their emotions, and competing in academics and sports. They suffer from low self-esteem and are often absent from school with seasonal illnesses. Daily multivitamins with minerals help these children by providing them with the essential micronutrients their bodies need to function more effectively and to develop into healthier, happier children.

Tishcon's vitamins are distributed to low income children at no cost to parents through Nourish America in 42 states at over 500 locations including Head Start, Healthy Start and WIC programs, K-12 public schools and school districts, community health centers, homeless shelters, women's shelters, Native American programs, YWCA and YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs, City Park and Recreation Departments, public health departments and other community-based and faith-based organizations.

Parents and teachers of participating children consistently report, year after year, that the quality vitamins donated by Tishcon are improving their children's lives. Last year, almost
