Three Attorneys Rejoin McKenna Long & Aldridge
Date:4/23/2009

ATLANTA, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Three attorneys who previously worked at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) have rejoined the firm's Atlanta office. The attorneys include Mark S. Lange, partner, and Emily C. Crosby, associate, in the Corporate department and Larry A. Slovensky, a partner in the Litigation department.

"We're always pleased to welcome good lawyers back into the fold," said MLA chairman Jeffrey K. Haidet. "We look forward to the value Larry, Mark and Emily will contribute to our corporate and litigation departments and to our clients."

Lange returns to MLA from Paul Hastings. At MLA, he will focus on transactional matters in the health care industry. He counsels clients on domestic and international corporate mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, alliances, limited liability companies, and other pass-through and venture capital entity transactions. He represents a wide range of health care providers and companies, including nursing homes and hospice providers, hospitals and health systems, physicians and physician organizations, and suppliers and manufacturers. Lange has been ranked by Chambers USA as one of the leading tax lawyers in Georgia, as well as named a member of Georgia's "Legal Elite" by Georgia Trend.

Crosby was also with Paul Hastings before returning to MLA. She will focus on general corporate counseling, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions in the health care industry.

"We are thrilled to have Mark Lange and Emily Crosby rejoin our Corporate department," said Wayne N. Bradley, chair of MLA's Corporate practice. "Their focus on the health care industry adds depth to our Health Care transactional practice. Health care is a strategic focus of the firm, and Mark and Emily were attracted to return based in part on the strength of our health care practice. In addition, both Mark and Emily, along with Cristiane R. Wolfe, a tax associate who works with them and is also joining MLA, have strong tax backgrounds that will bolster our thriving tax practice. Mark in particular has a nationwide reputation as a top tax practitioner."

Slovensky joins MLA from EarthLink, Inc. where he was vice president and assistant general counsel. His responsibilities included managing all of EarthLink's litigation matters, including consumer class actions, patent infringement litigation and general commercial litigation, as well as other corporate compliance and risk mitigation issues. Slovensky spent almost nine years with MLA before transitioning to EarthLink.

"Larry Slovensky is a leader when it comes to complex commercial litigation," said Tami L. Azorsky, chair of the Litigation practice. "In-house experience at EarthLink allows him to offer a unique perspective and understanding that will resonate with our clients. His knowledge, experience and business acumen will help us continue to provide the highest quality of service to our clients, while contributing to the growth and success of our Litigation group."
