The MedZilla Report for April 2010 - Pharma Layoffs Drop Below 400 in March; Health Care Adds Another 27,000 Jobs
Date:4/15/2010

Analysts are saying that the U.S. is turning the corner on jobs, with the worst behind us. With only 308 job cuts announced in the pharmaceutical industry in March, 27,000 new health care jobs being added, and a steady unemployment rate for two years running, they may just be correct.

The highest jump was in Texas -- almost eight percent -- and five more states plus the United Kingdom all went up by more than two percent. The largest drop was in Georgia -- almost six percent. Of the candidates being sought, more than six percent are likely to be for research positions.

The largest geographical increase in job postings took place in Massachusetts, which saw almost 3.5 p
