Telik Announces 2008 Second Quarter Financial Release, Conference Call and Webcast

PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Telik, Inc. (Nasdaq: TELK) announced that its 2008 second quarter conference call and webcast will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. Eastern time (1:30 p.m. Pacific time) following the release earlier that day of the company's financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2008.

The conference call will be accessible via Telik's website at http://www.telik.com or by telephone at 800-553-5260 or 612-332-0720. An archive of the conference call will be available on the Telik website or by telephone at 800-475-6701 or 320-365-3844, access code 956079. The archive will be available from approximately 6:30 p.m. Eastern time on August 11 through August 25, 2008.
