SynteractHCR Senior Director of Clinical Operations Mary Clegg Named One of the PharmaVOICE 100 Most Inspiring People in Life Sciences

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SynteractHCR, a leading full-service global contract research organization (CRO), is pleased to announce Mary Clegg, senior director of clinical operations, as one of the recipients of the 2013 PharmaVOICE 100 Most Inspiring People in the Life Sciences industry. PharmaVOICE magazine releases this top 100 list annually and identifies industry thought leaders and innovators that have the biggest impact on the entire field of life sciences. Clegg is the third executive from SynteractHCR that has been recognized in the past five years.

Clegg was nominated by her peers because of her strong organizational aptitude and ability to lead and motivate with a "tirelessly positive" attitude. Her top quality management skills have been developed based on more than 20 years of experience in the industry. A registered nurse with extensive clinical trial experience in multiple therapeutic areas, Clegg has a proven ability to manage multiple projects and sites in accordance with FDA regulations. Clegg was named to the Top 100 because of her ability to influence others while being a thought leader in the industry.

"I am very pleased to see Mary recognized with this prestigious award," said Wendel Barr, SynteractHCR CEO. "Mary's selection as one of the PharmaVOICE 100 is a validation of her ability to mentor her staff and colleagues in a way that is substantial and measurable. She is inspirational as an excellent role model and most deserving of this industry recognition."

Honorees were announced in the July/August 2013 issue of PharmaVOICE magazine. Each year, PharmaVOICE receives thousands of nominations from readers who collectively nominate and vote for their choice of the most influential corporate leaders in their field. Candidates are chosen based on their ability to inspire their peers through their actions. The nominees must exhibit strong leadership qualities, fearless and unique approaches to problems, and innovation in strategies, products and services. Submissions are provided to PharmaVOICE by colleagues who believe their nominee meets all of the criteria necessary.
