Superior Controls of Seabrook, NH named Business of the Year for 2013 by Business NH Magazine

SEABROOK, N.H., May 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Superior Controls, Inc. has been named "Manufacturing/Technology Business of the Year 2013" by Business NH Magazine.  For the past 22 years, the magazine has recognized Granite State organizations that distinguish themselves with extraordinary business and civic excellence.

"We are very proud to receive this honor," said Rick Pierro , President of Superior Controls.  "As with any recognition, this award is a reflection of Superior Controls' continuing commitment to put our customers' needs first, while also being good corporate citizens to the communities in which we live and work."

The award was highlighted in the May issue of Business NH magazine.  The feature article describes several accolades that helped earn the award for Superior Controls, including the 2012 Control Engineering Magazine System Integrator of the Year Award, Ocean Spray's Vendor of the Year award (twice), and the first ever five-time Level 1 Certified Member of the Control Systems Integrators Association, a global professional organization with more than 400 members in 27 countries.

The article also acknowledges leadership roles earned by Pierro, including trustee of the NH High Tech Leadership Council and board member of the regional chapter of International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE).  Superior Controls is also recognized for its extensive civic and charitable support, including local fire and police organizations, Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, and the Cystic Fibrosis and Muscular Dystrophy A
