SulphCo Adds New Board Member

HOUSTON, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SulphCo, Inc. (the "Company" or "SulphCo") (Amex: SUF), a technology company with a patented ultrasound process to desulfurize crude oil, announced today the appointment of Fred S. Zeidman to the Company's Board of Directors.

"The Company will benefit from his extensive experience, both in the executive suite and the boardroom, along with his solid understanding of the energy business. I believe Mr. Zeidman will be a valuable asset in our future growth and development."

Mr. Zeidman has held leadership positions in a number of energy related companies. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Houston-based Seitel, Inc., a leading provider of seismic data and related geophysical expertise to the petroleum industry. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Unibar Corporation, the largest domestic independent drilling fluids company, until its sale in 1991 to Anchor Drilling Fluids. He currently serves as Interim President for Nova Biosource Fuels, Inc. (Amex), a refiner and marketer of renewable biodiesel fuel products. Mr. Zeidman is also a Senior Director for Governmental Affairs at Greenberg, Traurig's Washington D.C. law office.

An active participant in community, political and non-profit organizations, Mr. Zeidman currently serves as Chairman of the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. and Vice Chairman of the McCain for President Campaign. He also holds leadership roles in numerous non-profit organizations serving the arts, health care, academia and the Jewish community.

Mr. Zeidman is a graduate of Washington University and received an MBA from New York University. He currently lives in Houston with his wife and children.
