Stunning Attendance for ChemOutsourcing Show on September 8-9 in Long Branch, NJ
Date:8/12/2008

LONG BRANCH, N.J., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 500 attendees are already slated to attend Pharma ChemOutsourcing Show on September 8-9 in New Jersey.

The conference & exhibition continues to attract large numbers of sourcing managers from all the "Big Pharma" companies plus increasingly, dozens of mid-sized and smaller biotech companies. The preliminary attendee list is posted at http://www.chemoutsourcing.com/2008_attendees.php

Dr. Stefan Loren of Perceptive Life Sciences will deliver the keynote entitled "Is The Pharmaceutical Industry Exposing Itself to Unacceptable Risk Through Expanded Offshore Outsourcing?". Recent incidents with contaminated supplies may signal a change in the industry's offshore investments or simply a bump in the road on the way to a truly globalized pharmaceutical industry.

At this year's show many medicinal and process chemists will attend in addition to chemical development, procurement and manufacturing personnel from the pharmaceutical companies and suppliers.

Hot topics in 2008 include:

-- API's & intermediates

-- Raw material supply chain

-- Rising costs of sourcing in China

-- CRO/CMO performance metrics

-- Sourcing synthetic routes & process optimization

The conference program features 105 Pharmaceutical industry speakers and may be viewed at http://www.chemoutsourcing.com/2008_agenda.php

90 fine chemical, custom synthesis, and specialty exhibitors will be on hand. The list is found at http://www.chemoutsourcing.com/2008_sponsors.php
