In close collaboration with universities and physicians world-wide, the institute’s doctors utilize umbilical cord, fat and bone marrow-derived stem cells to treat carefully selected patients with spinal cord injury, osteoarthritis, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other autoimmune diseases. The Stem Cell Institute has treated over 1800 patients.

About Medistem Panama Inc.
Medistem performs all stem cell processing for the Stem Cell Institute. It operates an 8000 sq. ft. laboratory that is licensed by the Panama Ministry of Health and features 3 class 10000 clean rooms, 8 class 100 laminar flow hoods, and 12 class 100 incubators.
