South Florida Technology Alliance and BioFlorida Joint-Event Draws Big Names and Big Crowd

Chip Casanave, CEO of Data Access Worldwide (www.dataaccess.com) and chairman of the SFTA discussed the opportunities presented by the BioFlorida - South Florida Technology Alliance partnership: "Technology provides the underlying tools for life sciences research, development and commercialization. Building awareness and alliances between these sectors helps both of them grow and create future benefits for everyone."

BioFlorida and SFTA share a common goal of bringing together enterprise, entrepreneurs, government, academia, and investors, to grow their respective industries and attract new business to Florida.

"This event was met with such a positive response," said Chris Burgio, president of SFTA. "The turn out was higher than expected and people were buzzing about the event well after the presenters had cleared the stage. We look forward to continuing our partnership with BioFlorida and bringing more valuable events like this to our region."
