Sinovac Announces Postponement of Annual General Meeting

BEIJING, Aug. 20 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Sinovac Biotech Ltd. (Amex: SVA), a leading provider of biopharmaceutical products in China, notified its shareholders today that the Annual General Meeting of shareholders, convened for August 21, 2007, has been postponed due the geographical nature of its shareholders and technical difficulties with the mailing of proxy materials. The Company is currently working to ensure that shareholders receive necessary proxy materials in an efficient manner and will provide an update on the date of the postponed meeting as quickly as possible, to be held before the end of September 2007 with an unchanged agenda and venue.
