Seven Outstanding Doctors Receive Honors From The United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology

the female genital tract. Dr. Crum’s discussion covers his work with colleagues Frank D. McKeon, MD, PhD and Wa Xian, MD, PhD, both of the Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine, who have recently pursued the hypothesis that specialized cells exist in the oviduct that give rise to serous cancer. Dovetailing this work with cell culture, and recognizing the potential parallels between the unique tissue interfaces in the fimbria and cervix, they are narrowing the search for a putative cell of origin.
