Setaram Inc. Acquires Hy-Energy LLC

PENSAUKEN, N.J. and CALUIRE, France, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Setaram Inc., a leading manufacturer of Thermal Analysis and calorimetry instruments announces the acquisition of Hy-Energy LLC (Newark, CA), a manufacturer of high performance gas sorption scientific instruments for the ever-expanding field of clean renewable energy research.

"This acquisition adds a full suite of analytical capabilities which complement Setaram Instruments' existing Thermal Analysis and calorimetry product lines," said Gilles Widawski, President of Setaram Instrumentation, Caluire France, parent Company of Setaram Inc. "Both Setaram's and Hy- Energy's current customers will benefit from the broader range of capabilities."

The acquisition of Hy-Energy comes just weeks after Setaram Instrumentation announced a strategic distribution partnership with Microcal, which is aimed at enhancing the level of sales and support of MicroCal products across Europe. These important developments are certain to enhance Setaram's product line offerings and strengthen its position as a world leader in providing scientific instruments for the fields of life science, pharma, hydrogen, nuclear, oil & gas, advanced materials and chemical process safety.
