Seduce with Mousse - Replens Introduces Intimate Options: First Personal Lubricant Mousse in Canada
Date:3/24/2008

CONCORD, Ontario, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Responding to countless complaints from conventional lubricant users about being messy and downright unpleasant -- Intimate Options Personal Lubricant Mousse from Replens, which has proven popular in the United States, is now available in Canada. It is an innovative new product that took women's ideas about what a lubricant should be and made them a reality.

Intimate Options Personal Lubricant Mousse has all the benefits of a lubricant without the negatives. It is light and airy when dispensed, and becomes a smooth and silky lubricant on contact. Unlike other messy personal lubricants, you can place the right amount of mousse exactly where you want it with no runny mess or sticky residue.

A study conducted by the makers of Replens and including nearly 1,500 women revealed that while 71% of women over the age of 18 had used a lubricant, only 10.1% said that they were Very Satisfied with the lubricants they had tried in the past. On a scale of 1 to 5, 60.4% rated their satisfaction level at a 3 or below.

"From a health perspective, lubricants can be important for women with stress, menopause, cancer and other conditions that may make intimacy uncomfortable. And, of course, lubricants can help spice up any relationship," said Jenny Fiorini, Marketing Manager for the Intimate Options line. "Research shows that most women are not satisfied with the current offering of lubricants."

The top five self-reported negative aspects of lubricants were:

1. Messiness (personal) - 65.7%

2. Messes up the bed -- 49.0%

3. Drippy, doesn't stay in place - 43.3%

4. Feels cold at initial application - 41%

5. Interrupts the moment - 25.7%

"We believe women should have options that work for them. So, we are proud to offer women in Canada a personal lubricant in mousse form," said Fiorini. "A mousse addresses all of the top 5 concerns women have with a personal
