CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- ScienceFirst is pleased to announce that two new associates have joined the Cedar Knolls office.

Valery Sudakin, PhD, has been named science manager. Before joining ScienceFirst, Dr. Sudakin was an investigator at GlaxoSmithKline, where he co-lead the signal transduction kinase 1 matrix team from program inception to successful initiation of start of chemistry on three different series. A published author, Dr. Sudakin brings to ScienceFirst 11 years of biomedical research and writing experience in the academia and pharmaceutical industry. He earned a PhD from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, completing his thesis on the "Role of cyclosome in the regulation of cyclin degradation."

Brian Burns was recently named account director at ScienceFirst. Before joining ScienceFirst, Burns held the position of associate director of global marketing, oncology, at Bristol-Myers Squibb, and brings with him more than 11 years of science and management experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He earned an MBA in finance from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA, after receiving his bachelor's and master's degrees in microbiology.
