Sanofi-aventis Announces Second Quarter 2009 Results

cture (in particular the consolidation of Zentiva in the second quarter, and the end of commercialization of Copaxone(R) by sanofi-aventis in North America effective April 1, 2008), net sales rose by 3.1%. Excluding changes in structure and at constant exchange rates, first-half net sales growth was 3.6%.

Pharmaceuticals

Second-quarter net sales for the Pharmaceuticals business were up 7.3% at euro 6,726 million. First-half net sales were up 3.0% at euro 13,206 million.
