S&P Capital IQ Picks Celgene Focus Stock of the Week
Date:10/24/2011

NEW YORK, Oct. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Celgene Corporation (Nasdaq: CELG: $68) has been picked by S&P Capital IQ as its Focus Stock of the Week.  CELG carries S&P Capital IQ's highest investment recommendation of 5-STARS, or Strong Buy.

"We consider Celgene to be among the best positioned biotechs for long-term growth, with solid core product growth," said Steven Silver, Biotech Equity Analyst at S&P Capital IQ.  "We believe the strength of the company's advancing pipeline of products is not appropriately reflected in the current share price."

Silver projects Celgene to grow earnings at a compound annual rate of 21% from 2010 through 2013.  He adds that this figure represents the brightest growth prospects S&P Capital IQ sees in the large-cap biotechnology industry, driven by expanding global sales of key cancer drug Revlimid.
