Richard T. Crowder Joins Neogen's Board of Directors

Crowder held various senior management positions with The Pillsbury Company for 14 years, including internal board level responsibilities with Burger King Corporation and Steak and Ale Corporation. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Mendel Biotechnology, Inc., and as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Farm Foundation. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Soo Line Corporation and Penford Corporation. Crowder holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Virginia Tech University and a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University.

Crowder replaced Gordon E. Guyer, Ph.D., who elected not to pursue an additional term after his continuous service to Neogen on the Board since 1990. Guyer will continue to serve the company as director emeritus.

Neogen Corporation develops and markets products dedicated to food and animal safety. The company's Food Safety Division markets dehydrated culture media, and diagnostic test kits to detect foodborne bacteria, natural toxins, genetic modifications, food allergens, drug residues, plant diseases and sanitation concerns. Neogen's Animal Safety Division markets a complete line of diagnostics, veterinary instruments, veterinary pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, disinfectants, and rodenticides.
