New System to Streamline Process, Drive Value from Appraisals

OTTAWA, March 17 /PRNewswire/ - Halogen Software Inc., a leading provider of web-based employee performance and talent management software, today announced that it has been selected by Quiznos to provide a system for its employees at the company's Denver-based headquarters. Quiznos is a national chain with over 5000 franchise restaurants, designed for today's busy consumers who are looking for a tasty, fresher alternative to traditional fast food restaurants. The company is consistently ranked as a top restaurant chain and receives high marks for its customer service, facilities and food offerings. Halogen Software makes powerful, simple-to-use and affordable employee performance and talent management applications, which make HR best-practices accessible to companies of all sizes.

As a growing company, Quiznos' leadership places a strong emphasis on the employee performance and talent management process, aligning employees to corporate initiatives and target metrics. In the past, the process was inconsistent for different parts of the business and time intensive to conduct using paper-based tools.

"We were using a manual system, and with a quarterly review process, we were spending hours coordinating, chasing paper and ensuring everyone was doing what they were supposed to," explained Lyssa Marie Hansard, Director, Compensation and HR Systems, Quiznos. "In conducting reviews and planning for succession, we need to ensure employees, managers and executives are getting the information and results they need. We selected Halogen based on the solution's proven ability to not only streamline the process, but to enable us to drive more value out of our employee performance management."

Cynthia Baxter-Diggles, Senior Director of Human Resources says, "Using the Halogen system has made our process more structured and efficient. This has allowed managers and HR business partner
