Prognosis HIS Executive Slated To Offer EHR Advice At Illinois Rural Health Association Conference

HOUSTON, April 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Melanie Pita, J.D., will offer her expert perspective on  the electronic health records journey for rural hospitals as she presents "EHRs: Meaningful Use & Beyond" during the Illinois Rural Health Association's Annual Conference, being held  April 24-26, 2012, at the Thelma Keller Convention Center in Effingham, Ill.  

During the presentation, Pita, who serves as executive vice president of product management at Prognosis Health Information Systems, will draw upon insights gained through a variety of client EHR successes, thereby providing practical strategies that rural providers can use to get on the fast track toward successful electronic health record (EHR) implementation, the realization of government incentive funds and, most importantly, long-term improved care and efficiency for rural populations. The presentation will zero in on how rural leaders can work toward the eradication of the current "digital divide" that exists in the health care industry, ultimately bringing computerization and improved care to all of the people who live in rural communities.
