Probiotic Action The “Best Acne Treatment” Shares New Insight on the Future of Preventing the Spread of Acne Causing Germs
Date:5/15/2013

Miami, FL (PRWEB) May 15, 2013

A recent article from the University of Washington highlighted how certain strains of bacteria are found to leave “polysaccharide trails”, or chemical paths for other bacteria to follow in order to grow colonies. The research was done on certain P. aeruginosa bacteria, which were found to follow each other to form bacteria colonies. Although the study was not done on the P.acnes bacteria known to cause acne, Probiotic Action explains how this new study may help find a cure and prevent acne in the future.

“Finding out how bacteria spreads is extremely important in the mission to control, and suppress it’s negative functions. If researchers are able to find out how bacteria moves, finds each other, and colonizes, we may find out how to break down groups of acne causing bacteria in the future before breakouts start,” says Perez.

Acne causing bacteria has been said to spread when pimples are popped, and affected areas of the skin come in contact with hands and excess oils. With insight on the ways germs spread and gather, probiotics could be used a preventative, and reactive care to stop the growth of bad bacteria, and balance bacteria levels.

Perez adds that with more research we may soon be able to make adult acne treatments more effective through better understanding how they react and move in the presence of a topical probiotic or acne cream.
