In response to growing requests from clients to provide hands-on compensation administration assistance, the San Francisco compensation consulting firm plans to release several proprietary diagnostic tools that are instrumental in helping clients identify issues and streamline in-house compensation analyses. The first tool to be released -- Salary GPS -- is a diagnostic model that determines an employee's pay position within a salary structure to help Human Resources professionals identify departmental and position-specific issues.
Many small companies purchase Human Resources software to automate their recruiting and performance management processes, but most solutions do not have compensation management functionality or require a separate add-on purchase to integrate the HRIS and compensation systems. "I can't tell you how many companies we see managing their compensation plans in Excel and struggling to automate what have become very labor intensive manual processes," said Brooke Green, a Principal at Presidio Pay Advisors.
