PracticeMatch Releases 2019 National Physician Career Fair Schedule
Date:10/29/2018

PracticeMatch, a company that provides the nation’s largest physician recruitment marketing tool to healthcare employers nationwide, released its schedule of physician career fairs planned for 2019. The company has expanded its offering of virtual (online) recruiting events for the upcoming year and will focus hosting live events in the areas of the country which have the highest concentrations of resident and fellow physicians.

The schedule for the first quarter of 2019 is as follows:

  • Tuesday February 19 – Nationwide Virtual Fair
  • Thursday February 21 – LIVE Onsite in Chicago, IL
  • Tuesday February 26 – NP/PA Virtual Fair
  • Thursday March 7 – LIVE Onsite in St. Louis, MO
  • Tuesday March 26 – Virtual Fair for the Frontier region
  • Thursday March 28 – LIVE Onsite in Cleveland, OH

Additional recruiting fairs planned for April include virtual events for the Northeast and South regions, as well as a live event onsite in Dallas, TX on April 4. No fairs are planned in May or June, and the recruiting event schedule resumes July 24, 2019 with a live physician career fair in Kansas City, MO at the AAFP conference.

The complete schedule for the 2019 calendar year of national physician career fairs, including all onsite and virtual events, is located on the PracticeMatch website. Employers can also register to exhibit, and physicians and advanced practice clinicians may register to attend as candidates on the PracticeMatch website as well.

“PracticeMatch is excited to roll out the top 13 Live Career Fair locations and 16 Virtual Career Fairs. We are focusing Live Career Fairs in areas that have the highest number of resident and fellows nationwide. Recruiters can still meet potential candidates face-to-face in select cities,” states Mike York, Chief Executive Officer of PracticeMatch. “By offering more Virtual Career Fairs this year, physicians and recruiters can attend Career Fairs across the country without any travel costs. As another new feature of our 2019 schedule, we’ve included separate fairs for each type of provider – one for physicians and one for advanced practice clinicians. In doing so, we hope that our recruiters and employers attending each fair can more easily focus on one area of need,” York concluded.

Additional locations where live recruiting events are also planned in 2019 include: Los Angeles, CA, Detroit, MI, Philadelphia, PA, Houston, TX, and New York, NY.

“Employers and recruiters consistently rave about the candidates they meet at our career fairs,” states Mike York. “Career fairs remain one of the best ways for physicians and advanced practice clinicians of all experience levels to network with hiring managers and explore various employers. Nothing compares to the direct interaction provided by our Career Fairs. Healthcare professionals can meet with company representatives from multiple top healthcare employers nationwide, during a single event.”
