Poniard Pharmaceuticals to Present at the JMP Securities Healthcare Focus Conference

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Poniard Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: PARD), a biopharmaceutical company focused on oncology, today announced that Jerry McMahon, Ph.D., chairman and CEO, will present at the JMP Securities Healthcare Focus Conference on Monday, October 6, at 9 a.m. Eastern Time at Le Parker Meridien in New York.

Dr. McMahon will provide a corporate overview, including a discussion of the development of picoplatin, the Company's lead product candidate.

A live audio webcast of the presentation will be available for 10 business days on the "Events" page of the "News & Events" section of the Company's website at http://www.poniard.com.
