PlaqueTec hat das Liquid Biopsy System (LBS) zur Erfassung biologischer Daten in Verbindung mit Herzerkrankungen direkt an den Herzkranzgefäßen entwickelt und patentiert. Das LBS nimmt gleichzeitig mehrere Blutproben von verschiedenen Stellen innerhalb der Koronararterie des Patienten und sucht erhöhte biologische Aktivitäten in erkrankten Bereichen. Das LBS hat das Potenzial, die Entdeckung und Entwicklung neuer Medikamente und Therapeutika voranzutreiben und bietet die Möglichkeit, die Wirksamkeit sowohl von zugelassenen Medikamenten als auch Mitteln in Entwicklung auszuwerten.

PlaqueTec ist erfreut, die CE-Zertifizierung des LBS bestätigen zu können, die eine Reihe von bahnbrechenden Forschungen und branchenübergreifenden klinischen Studien mit führenden Ärzten für Herzkreislauferkrankungen ermöglicht. Die erste Studie wird am Papworth Hospital in Cambridge durchgeführt, einem der führenden britischen Zentren für die Behandlung von Herzkreislauferkrankungen.
