Pinnaclife Sponsors "The Prevent Event: Breast Cancer Education And You!"

CORALVILLE, Iowa, Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Pinnaclife and Dr. Darlene McCord are excited to announce a very special series of health events coming to 4 major cities in Iowa and Nebraska. Not only does Pinnaclife support better health through their products, but they also sponsor events that showcase their dedication to improving lives.

According to estimates by the American Cancer Society, more than a quarter million women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. Iowa native and nationally known surgeon Christine Horner, M.D. has researched simple and effective ways we can lower our risk of breast cancer. Join us for an evening with Dr. Horner at the "The Prevent Event: Breast Cancer Education and You!" — a new speaking tour aimed at informing women about ways to prevent breast cancer. "The Prevent Event" is sponsored by Pinnaclife and tours the state as follows:

Thursday, September 13, 2012, at 7pm at The River Center, Davenport, IA

Monday, September 17, 2012, at 7pm at The Kirkwood Center, Cedar Rapids, IA

Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at 7pm at Merle Hay Holiday Inn, Des Moines, IA

Thursday, September 20, 2012, at 7pm at Omaha Healing Arts Center, Omaha, NE

Admission is only $10 per person, and attendees should register online by clicking on The Prevent Event Register Now box at or

Many may remember Dr. Horner as the surgeon that spearheaded a 5-year campaign called the BRA (Breast Cancer Reconstruction) Project that required insurance companies to pay for reconstructive surgery as part of breast cancer care, which was signed into federal law in 1998. This professional journey was also a personal journey as Dr. Horner's mother died of a breast cancer related disease after a 13 year battle with breast cancer. Dr. Horner will share what she has learned from studying prevention-related research that puts women (and men) on the path to better health. She compiled this research into a book, Waking the Warrior Goddess: Dr. Horner's Program to Protect Against and Fight Breast Cancer.

"I am eager to return to my old stomping grounds to share what I am so passionate about — extraordinary health," said Dr. Horner. "I look forward to sharing well-researched, time-tested secrets for all ages, from teens to grandmothers. I want everyone to know it's never too late to improve your health!"

Remember admission is only $10 per person, and attendees should register online by clicking on The Prevent Event Register Now box at or Find and share the event on Facebook:
