Under this partnership, Physicians Practice(R), America's Leading Practice Management Journal, will be mailed monthly, beginning in January, to approximately 4,500 doctors in the region, with articles pertinent to the daily business issues faced by area physicians and their staff. The journal will also feature a section sponsored by Loma Linda highlighting news in clinical and scientific research.

"Through our partnership with Physicians Practice, we are excited about this opportunity to strengthen our relationships with community physicians," says Ruthita Fike, Loma Linda University Medical Center's Chief Executive Officer. "We now have a means to communicate our growing services and initiatives, in addition to the practical information provided regarding the business of operating a medical practice."

This commitment to improve care and services to patients and physicians is also reflected in the hospital's establishment of centers of excellence, including the Proton Treatment Center, the Cancer Center, the International Heart Institute, the Children's Hospital, and the Behavioral Medical Center. In addition, the hospital is the only Level 1 Regional Trauma Center in the Inland Empire nationally accredited by the American College of Surgeons (ACOS) for Inyo, Mono, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

"We are proud to partner with Loma Linda University Medical Center. Our expertise in practice management and technology will help Southern California's medical practices to spend less time on business and more time with patients," says Ken Karpay, publisher of Physicians Practice.
