Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, P.A. Welcomes Physiatrist Matthew Terzella, MD

Dr. Robert G. Schwartz, the principal of Greenville, SC-based Piedmont Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, P.A., proudly announced today that acclaimed physiatrist Matthew Terzella, MD, has joined the practice as a partner, and will officially commence his duties on May 15, 2017.

Dr. Terzella completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson and JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, followed by a Fellowship at Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine where he focused on interventional spine procedures, peripheral joint procedures, regenerative techniques, and pain management. He is also a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, American Medical Association, South Carolina Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Spine Intervention Society, and American Academy of Thermology, respectively.

“After many years in private practice in a multi-specialty group, I decided to join Piedmont Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, PA in order to enhance my commitment to helping patients alleviate pain, weakness and numbness, and lead healthier and more fulfilled lives,” commented Dr. Terzella, whose research and insight has been featured in the Journal of Applied Physiology and other leading peer-reviewed medical journals.
