Pharmacy Compounds Liquid Mupirocin for the Chronic Sinusitis Patient
Date:8/4/2009

ASL Pharmacy® announces the availability of Compounded Mupirocin Liquid. Mupirocin is typically only found in ointment form. ASL's compound does not contain any added ingredients, only pure mupirocin, sterile water and sterile saline. This is significant because ASL serves patients with chronic sinusitis who do not need the additional ingredients in their sinuses.

Camarillo, CA (PRWEB) August 4, 2009 -- ASL Pharmacy® announces the availability of compounded mupirocin liquid for easy topical sinus use and sinus infection patients. What makes this news significant is that up to now mupirocin has typically only been available in ointment form and was not particularly suitable for nasal irrigation or inhalation. ASL's compounded mupirocin liquid does not contain the other ingredients found in the ointment. ASL's formula only contains pure mupirocin, sterile water and sterile saline.

For nasal Irrigation, ASL's pre-mixed unit dosed vials may be used with a NeilMed® bottle or any other irrigation device. (i.e. neti-pot, bulb syringe, etc.) What also makes this approach particularly attractive is that dissolving ointment in water is not required for patients seeking remedies for chronic sinusitis.

ASL's compounded liquid mupirocin will mix instantly with no shaking or mess and is compatible with other medications mixed in saline immediately prior to the nasal irrigation procedure. Physicians may order specific medication combinations as clinically indicated. Such combinations are very easy for sinus patients to mix in their irrigation device and administer their therapy.

"At the end of our compounding process the mupirocin is crystal clear. This solution will mix well with other concurrent medications the physician may prescribe," states ASL Pharm
