PV Nano Cell hat eine Finanzierungsrunde über 3,5 Millionen US-Dollar abgeschlossen

erste kosteneffiziente leitfähige Tinte auf den Markt: Sie basiert auf stabilen Nanometer-Kupferpartikeln, zeichnet sich durch hervorragende Stabilität, Druck- und Leiteigenschaften sowie durch einen wettbewerbsfähigen Preis aus (Grundlage der Tinten ist ein deutlich billigeres Material ‒ 8 USD/kg für Kupfer gegenüber 750 USD/kg für Silber) und ermöglicht so eine starke Marktdurchdringung beim digitalen leitfähigen Tintenstahldruck.

Zurzeit befindet sich das Unternehmen in der fortgeschrittenen Phase der Gründung eines Joint-Ventures in China, wobei der chinesische Partner einen Anteil von 2,5 Millionen USD investiert.

PV Nano Cell wurde Anfang 2010 von Dr. Fernando de la Vega gegründet. Er besitzt einen PhD in angewandter Chemie und ist Experte auf dem Gebiet der nanometrischen Materialien. Laut de la Vega, dem derzeitigen CEO des Unternehmens, ist die von PV Nano Cell entwickelte Technik nicht auf den Druck von Photovoltaikzellen beschränkt, sondern soll auch in anderen Bereichen eingesetzt werden können. "Das Unternehmen erregt großes Interesse bei potenziellen Investoren und Kunden, hauptsächlich, weil die von uns entwickelten Tinten eine bedeutende Kostensenkung beim Drucken von Leiterbildern ermöglichen. Bisher haben wir uns auf den Photovoltaikmarkt konzentriert. Wir beabsichtigen jedoch zu expandieren, indem wir unsere Technologien auf weitere Bereiche anwenden, z. B. das Drucken von verschiedenen flexiblen elektronischen Geräten."
