PRA Oncology Expert to Speak

RESTON, Va., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PRA International (Nasdaq: PRAI) today announced that Dr. Ute Berger, the company's senior director of therapeutic expertise and a specialist in oncology and hematology, will present a one-hour audioconference on conducting global clinical research in oncology on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. EST. In "Challenges in Conducting Global Oncology Trials," Dr. Berger will recommend ways to mitigate risk in terms of timelines and costs.

The audioconference will be of special interest to leaders in pharmaceutical and biotechnology research and development, clinical development, operations, clinical studies, outsourcing, procurement, and global data management. The speaker earned her medical degree from Germany's University of Heidelberg where she has served in senior positions on the Faculty of Clinical Medicine for nearly 20 years. Dr. Berger holds medical certifications in internal medicine, oncology and hematology, and is certified by the European Society of Medical Oncology. She has held numerous high-visibility positions, including as medical coordinator for the German CML Study Group, general manager of the German Competence Network "Acute and Chronic Leukemias" and scientific network manager of the "European LeukemiaNet."
