OncLive Expands Its Strategic Alliance Partnership Program With the Addition of UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center
Date:7/23/2014

Plainsboro, N.J. (PRWEB) July 23, 2014

OncLive® is pleased to announce that UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center has joined its Strategic Alliance Partnership program.

By participating in the Strategic Alliance Partnership program, UNC Lineberger will have the opportunity to work with the OncLive team to raise awareness of its cutting-edge research initiatives, community-directed cancer prevention programs, and other projects. Experts from UNC Lineberger will work with OncLive to educate their peers by providing insights and analysis on the latest news and discoveries in oncology.

UNC Lineberger is a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, one of only 41 such organizations in the country, and has been providing multidisciplinary, patient-centered care for more than a quarter century. The clinicians and researchers at UNC Lineberger have also been at the forefront of applying advanced technologies such as Intensity Modulated Radiation therapy, Intraoperative Radiation Therapy, and robotic surgery in the treatment of cancer.

In addition to leading important cancer epidemiology and cancer prevention and control programs that examine patterns of cancer in the community to understand the complex interaction among genetics, biology, environmental exposures and behaviors that cause cancer, UNC Lineberger researchers and clinicians also run research programs in Cancer Cell Biology, Immunology, Molecular Carcinogenesis, Cancer Genetics, Molecular Therapeutics, and Virology that investigate the molecular and genetic basis of cancer and progression.

Mike Hennessy, Jr., Vice President of Sales and Marketing and leader of the oncology division of Intellisphere, the publisher of OncLive, said, “UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center is an internationally recognized and respected leader in comprehensive cancer research, treatment, and support. We are excited and honored
