OMTEC 2008 Boasts Record Attendance and Secures Premier Position as Must-attend for Orthopaedic Companies
Date:6/24/2008

CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Knowledge Enterprises, Inc. announced today that attendance from orthopaedic device manufacturers at the 4th Annual Orthopaedic Manufacturing & Technology Exposition and Conference (OMTEC) was up more than 50% over 2007, with total attendance nearing 1,000. "Based on the initial feedback from attendees and exhibitors alike, we are honored to report that OMTEC has secured a permanent position in the orthopaedic industry as the 'must attend' educational conference for maintaining one's competitive edge," commented April Bright, Business Manager of Knowledge Enterprises.

OMTEC has become synonymous with education - of procurement and research and development professionals within the orthopaedic manufacturing community. "OMTEC's educational programs were developed with the assistance of our esteemed Advisory Panel (http://www.orthosupplier.com/omtec/2008/advisory-panel.htm), ensuring that only topics of great strategic importance are presented. In a continually changing orthopaedic landscape, OMTEC has found a permanent position contributing to the future success of orthopaedic companies through education," noted Ms. Bright.

OMTEC 2008 was held June 18-19 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, and featured keynote presentations such as "The Orthopaedic Industry - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" and "Supplying the Increasing Demand for Orthopaedic Treatment - The Technology Challenge," workshops on Process Validation, Lean Product Development and Solving Problems with Your Supply Chain and sessions covering hot-button topics such as inventory challenges, strategies for avoiding a recall, intellectual property losses, benchmarking and global supply chain strategy.
