OHAUS Introduces Rocking and Waving Shakers

OHAUS Corporation, a leading worldwide manufacturer of weighing products, laboratory equipment and analytical instruments announced the launch of its new line of Rocking and Waving Shakers today.

Five New Models Available

OHAUS has introduced five rocking and waving shaker models (both analog and digital) for laboratory applications in a variety of environmental conditions. Rocking shakers provide a seesaw-like motion, while waving shakers offer a smooth, low-foaming, 3D wave motion for precise speed control.

OHAUS now offers two economical analog 16-pound rocking shaker models in one and two-tier options which are ideal for cell culture and blotting techniques. The digital one-tier rocking shaker offers electronic tilt adjustment from zero to 15 degrees while the unit is operating.

Also available are five-pound analog and digital waving shaker models which are ideal for lab applications such as hematology and blotting techniques.

Microprocessor Control or Independent Control Knobs

The digital models feature microprocessor control which allows for electronic tilt angle adjustment in one degree increments for tilt, and one revolutions per minute for speed. Analog models feature independent control knobs for tilt, speed and time.

Safety Features

In order to ensure maximum operator safety, these shakers are equipped with a variety of safety features. Speed ramping increases the speed of the units slowly to the desired setpoint to avoid splashing, and the spill-resistant design channels fluids away from internal components. OHAUS rocking and waving shakers also feature an overload protection system which activates audible and visual signals when an obstruction or tray overload is detected.
