About the University of Florida’s Office of Technology Licensing (OTL)
The University of Florida is one of the nation’s leading research universities, receiving more than $600 million in research funding annually. The Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) at the University of Florida was established in 1985 to work with investors to facilitate the transfer of technologies created at UF to the commercial sector for public benefit. The OTL manages almost 300 disclosures per year generated from the university community. A September 2006 report by the Milken Institute ranked UF fifth among public universities in commercializing technology. For more about UF’s Office of Technology Licensing and the Florida Innovation Hub, please visit www.otl.ufl.edu.
