New Jersey Surgery Centers Pick Health Informatics Consulting to Implement Patient Electronic Health Record Systems

Located at 3695 Hill Rd. in Parsippany, the 12,000-square-foot Morris County Surgical Center expects to see approximately 4,000 patients annually and offer services that include gastroenterology, pain management, general surgery, gynecology, urology and otolaryngology.

The Harrison Endo Surgical Center now under construction at 620 Essex St. in Harrison, is a 9,500 square foot multi-specialty ambulatory center that also anticipates a patient volume of approximately 4,000 per year. The center will provide gastroenterology, pain management, general surgery procedures and otolaryngology.

Both facilities are scheduled to open in November under the management of AMCOR Ambulatory Management Corp., of Wayne, NJ.

Davidson is a national expert in the field of health information technology. In addition to being president and CEO of Health Informatics Consulting, she was appointed by New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine to the state Health Information Technology Commission, a body that is working to encourage adoption of EHR by the state's doctors. She serves as chairperson of the commission's Implementation Subcommittee.
