Neue Forschungsergebnisse zeigen Verbindung zwischen suboptimaler Asthmaversorgung und Patienteneinstellungen in Europa auf

Die Umfrage ergab, dass in der Vorwoche 53 % der Befragten mit vermeintlich kontrolliertem Asthma ≥1 Mal wegen Asthma aufwachten, 56 % Symptome hatten, die sie bei normalen Tätigkeiten an ≥1 Tag beeinträchtigten, und 42 % ihren Inhalator ≥3 Mal benutzten.[1] Die Daten zeigen außerdem Untergruppen von Patienten, die sich in ihren Einstellungen und ihrem Verhalten in Bezug auf ihr Asthma unterscheiden lassen.

"Es ist erwiesen, dass Angehörige der medizinischen Berufe Patienten wirksamer in der Handhabung ihres Zustands unterstützen können, wenn sie die Besonderheiten der Patienten erkennen. Wenn wir es mit der Verbesserung der Asthmaversorgung ernst meinen und bessere Ergebnisse bekommen wollen, müssen wir über die reine Behandlung von Symptomen hinaus schauen, die unterschiedlichen Erfahrungen mit Asthma und die Einstellungen zur Krankheit berücksichtigen und diese bei den verschiedenen Patientengruppen ansprechen", sagte Professor Thys van der Molen , Universität Groningen, Niederlande.

Die REALISE-Umfrage zeigt, dass Menschen mit Asthma generell einer von vier Denkweisen zugeordnet werden können, die alle eine zu einem gewissen Grad suboptimale Krankheitskontrolle[1] gemäß GINA-Definition erfahren.[2] Dabei handelt es sich um die ‚konforme' Gruppe, die ‚überoptimistische' Gruppe, die ‚bemühte' Gruppe und die ‚orientierungsbedürftige' Gruppe.

Die ‚konforme' Gruppe ist sich ihres Asthmas bewusst und hält sich im Großen und Ganzen an die medizinischen Anweisungen und verschriebenen Therapien. Diese Gruppe ist zuversichtlich, ihren Zustand kontrollieren zu können, und interessiert a
