Monsanto Company Sets Webcast and Analyst/Media Call for 2007 Fourth-Quarter and Fiscal-Year Financial Results

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Monsanto Company (NYSE: MON) today announced it will issue the company's financial results for its 2007 fourth quarter and full fiscal year on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, prior to market open.

Monsanto will hold a conference call at 8:30 a.m. central time (9:30 a.m. eastern time) in conjunction with the announcement of its results. The call will focus on the company's results in the fourth-quarter and fiscal-year 2007, as well as future expectations. The call may also include a discussion of Monsanto's strategic initiatives, product performance and other matters related to the company's business.

As part of the company's fourth-quarter and fiscal-year announcement, Monsanto announced that it will also be publishing its year-end report on the company's biotech trait acreage for fiscal year 2007. The company released a preliminary report on worldwide acres planted to its trait technologies as part of its third-quarter earnings announcement in June. A copy of the preliminary report is available on Monsanto's web site at: http://www.monsanto.com/pdf/pubs/2007/Q32007Acreage.pdf.
