Millstone Medical Outsourcing Relocates Memphis Distribution Center Within 72 Hours of Tornado Disaster

FALL RIVER, Mass., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Millstone Medical Outsourcing announced today that the company continued service with minimal interruption after last week's tornado by relocating operations to a new distribution facility. The Distribution Center address is 4740 Shelby Drive, Memphis, TN, 38118. With similar floor space arrangements as the initial location, the new Millstone facility provides the same high-quality distribution and loaner processing services to leading medical device customers.

The building, which had housed the distribution facility on Pleasant Hill Road, was damaged in a tornado during the early evening of February 5. Millstone management and service professionals quickly assessed the situation and worked to move equipment, supplies, and customer product so that processing and packaging services resumed by Friday. The new operations center is 30,000 square feet with room for planned expansion.

"First and foremost, we are grateful that no one was hurt at Millstone's service center in Memphis," said Chief Executive Officer Christopher Ramsden. "We are also pleased to report that virtually all customer product remained unscathed by the storm and that we were able to resume service to our customers within 72 hours. Our ability to regain our footing so quickly is a testament to the Millstone Memphis team and the leadership of Operations Manager Shawn Martin. Millstone, headquartered in Fall River, MA, opened the Memphis service center in August 2007. The Memphis location supports the company's aftermarket services division and offers distribution and loaner processing services to leading medical device manufacturers.
