Micromet, Inc. Fills Audit Committee Vacancy and Regains Compliance With NASDAQ Marketplace Rule

BETHESDA, Md., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Micromet, Inc. (Nasdaq: MITI) ("Micromet" or the "Company"), a biopharmaceutical company developing novel, proprietary antibodies for the treatment of cancer, inflammation and autoimmune diseases, today announced that on September 12, 2008, the Company's board of directors appointed Dr. Peter Johann, a current member of the board of directors, as a member of the Company's audit committee. The appointment fills the vacancy left by the resignation of Barclay A. Phillips, who voluntarily resigned as an independent director to join the Company as its Chief Financial Officer starting August 30, 2008.

On September 12, 2008, the Company notified The NASDAQ Stock Market ("NASDAQ") that Dr. Johann had been appointed to the Company's audit committee and on September 15, 2008, it received from NASDAQ a notice of compliance with NASDAQ Marketplace Rule 4350(d)(2)(A), thus closing the matter for which the Company had previously received from NASDAQ a notice of non-compliance in a letter dated September 9, 2008.
