Dr. Trattler currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute of the University of Miami, where teaches a variety of refractive surgery procedures to residents. Over his 11 years of practice in ophthalmology, he has also made over 125 presentations on research topics to his peers at major ophthalmology meetings. Dr. Trattler has also authored over 15 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, 2 textbook chapters and 3 textbooks, including the notable Clinical Microbiology Made Ridiculously Simple, which has been ranked #1 at Amazon.com under "Microbiology", and Ophthalmology Made Ridiculously Simple. He serves in an editorial capacity for the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Today, EyeWorld, and the International Ophthalmology Clinics and is a reviewer of scientific articles for the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Cornea, and the American Journal of Ophthalmology. Clearly respected by his peers, Dr. Trattler has been named as one of the Top 50 Cataract & Refractive Surgery Opinion Leaders, as voted on by readers of Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today.
