Zone Sonography Technology Allows Premium Compact Ultrasound Imaging at

Area's Leading Healthcare Provider

MODESTO, Calif., Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Memorial Medical Center, a leading regional healthcare provider and member of Sutter Health, today announced it has installed two z.one ultrasound systems from ZONARE Medical Systems, a developer of premium ultrasound technology, in the Center's radiology department. Based on proprietary Zone Sonography technology, the z.one ultra system is a unique premium Convertible Ultrasound platform which allows clinicians to perform ultrasound anywhere in the hospital. Memorial Medical is using the z.one ultra systems in the neonatal unit, emergency room and the vascular, radiology and obstetrical departments.

"We have just completed a major facility expansion which requires us to provide ultrasound imaging throughout the Center," said Jana Anguis, ultrasound supervisor, Memorial Medical Center. "With the z.one ultrasound system's premium compact design, we were able to replace our heavy, bulky conventional unit without compromising image quality. The system also allows us to convert to completely portable exams which can especially be important in locations where mobility is an issue for the patient such as the ICU."

Zone Sonography technology has enabled ZONARE Medical Systems to bring its unique, patented Convertible Ultrasound platform to the industry providing premium image quality performance together with greater portability at an attractive price to value ratio. Clinicians are able to convert the z.one ultrasound system from a full-featured, cart-based system into a premium compact ultrasound system at the touch of a button, optimizing its versatility in a variety of clinical settings, without sacrificing image quality or performance.

"We bought five different transducers for both systems which gives us the flexibility to address a number of clinical applications," said
