Medtech Expands Nursing Education Opportunities In Florida
Date:7/31/2012

ORLANDO, Fla., July 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Medtech has expanded its nursing education opportunities in Florida.  Camelot Healthcare Training Institute, a post-secondary nursing and allied health care education provider in Orlando, has become Medtech Institute.

Medtech is nationally accredited with several campuses offering an accredited diploma and degree in nursing and a number of other healthcare professions.

The school was acquired by Medtech in March 2012 and continued to operate as Camelot Healthcare Training Institute while joining Medtech's growing network of schools in six states and the District of Columbia.  The Medtech affiliation reinforces the school's sole focus of educating students for extraordinary careers in nursing and other health care professions.

"Camelot Healthcare Training Institute has been preparing students for nursing and health-related careers since 2009.  Its new 'Medtech' name more accurately defines what the campus does, which is training people to realize their healthcare career potential," said Medtech President and CEO John L. Hopkins.

"As part of the Medtech Institute brand, the school will receive resources on many levels for ongoing educational growth, the ability to offer new curricula and elevate courses to degree-granting programs, the resources to become accredited and provide Title IV financial aid opportunities to students, and more.  All in an effort to immediately make this school Florida's preeminent nursing and healthcare education school," he added.

Hopkins noted the campus is growing under Medtech's expertise and infrastructure, with plans calling for relocation of the school into a significantly expanded, new and technologically advanced campus at 2000 North Alafaya T
