One example is the 3M green Safety Ring technology available on the Universal Pad, which keeps the maximum temperature of the patient's skin at a level similar to traditional pads that are up to 33 percent larger, while still meeting the AAMI Maximum Safe Temperature Rise criteria (AAMI Standard HF18:2001, Section 4.2.3.1).
